The short answer is that when the need for change arises.
If you are unhappy with your current provider, you should not tie it to the end of the year or any other seemingly optimal deadline. In the case of a change at the end of the year, it is easy to delimit responsibilities, but it takes longer to produce the accounting material finalised by the previous accountant, as the end of May deadline is the one that really binds the accountant and in most cases even the auditor has to be accommodated. Thus, the new accountant can only report the monthly data until the previous year-end, because there will be no opening data such as cash balances or accounts receivable and accounts payable.
By contrast, the mid-year changeover is a simpler process, as there is no need to wait for the auditor's approval or for the accounts for the previous year to be prepared.
We keep transparent accounts. We send our clients a general ledger and a report on the results of the work carried out after each completed month, so that the company's managers are always aware of the company's operations from an accounting point of view.
